Employment readiness
Ten proposed sessions: build a resume, practice applications and interviews, plan for workplace reliability, and make an accepted employment or training connection.
PURPOSE & PROSPERITY LAB
A proposed virtual learning and mentoring pathway for employment readiness, digital skills, and early business development—with tangible products and realistic next steps.
Purpose & Prosperity Lab is a proposed community education and mentoring pathway. It does not guarantee employment, funding, income, or business results.
Ten proposed sessions: build a resume, practice applications and interviews, plan for workplace reliability, and make an accepted employment or training connection.
Ten proposed sessions: clarify the customer and offer, test assumptions, map costs and systems, and plan a low-risk pilot before major spending.
TEN-SESSION EMPLOYMENT PATHWAY
The employment pathway focuses on usable products, not attendance alone.
Identify strengths, constraints and an attainable next role. Product: A one-page employment/learning goal.
Practice email, file naming, basic online forms and safe account use. Product: An organized application folder; no passwords stored by the program.
Translate work, caregiving and volunteer experience into accurate skills. Product: A truthful resume draft.
Compare opportunities and avoid unrealistic/unsafe offers. Product: A small target-employer list and search routine.
Practice complete, accurate applications and voluntary disclosure decisions with qualified referral when needed. Product: One reviewed application or practice version.
Rehearse concise examples, questions and professional communication. Product: Mock interview feedback and a revision plan.
Plan transportation, attendance, communication and conflict response. Product: A first-week reliability/backup plan.
Build a basic spending plan and identify questions for qualified benefits/tax advice. Product: A budget draft and referral questions, not a guaranteed benefits calculation.
Make an appropriate introduction or training referral. Product: Accepted employer/training contact with next step confirmed.
Prepare onboarding, feedback and retention supports. Product: A 30-day work/learning action plan.
TEN-SESSION BUSINESS PATHWAY
The mentoring pathway leaves room to continue, revise, or stop. A business is not automatically the right first economic step for every person.
Who needs the proposed solution and why? Product: Problem/customer statement.
What specific product/service will be provided? Product: Offer, scope and exclusions.
What has been learned from real potential customers? Product: Interview notes without unnecessary personal data.
Who does what, with which resources? Product: Simple workflow and role map.
What are direct costs, overhead and testable pricing assumptions? Product: Clearly labeled budget/pricing worksheet.
Which legal, licensing, tax and insurance questions require expert help? Product: Referral checklist; no legal entity selection made by an unqualified mentor.
How will the offer be explained without unsupported promises? Product: Draft one-page message and channel plan.
How will scheduling, records, payments and customer follow-up work? Product: Basic operating checklist.
What low-risk test can be run before major spending? Product: Pilot scope, budget cap, owner and success evidence.
Continue, revise or stop based on actual learning? Product: 90-day action plan and risk/decision log.
The design does not require ownership in a participant’s business in exchange for support, or uncompensated labor as a condition of participation.
Banking credentials, personal passwords, and sensitive financial documents do not belong in community spaces or informal mentor messages.
An employer introduction, training referral, or resource connection should identify the receiving person, the next action, and how it will be confirmed.
