Youth and family

A clinical partnership with a protected family and community lane.

One Pulse United is developing the Cincinnati youth continuum with Reach One Clinical Services as the intended clinical provider and record owner. Community youth development, sports, mentoring, and family activities remain separately governed.

Developmental design

Children and adolescents need different rooms, language, rhythms, and safeguards.

The opening architecture favors a smaller, age-banded pilot rather than one 6–17 group. Future lanes may include elementary, adolescent, and transition-age cohorts, each with its own clinical criteria and community design.

Non-delegable youth safeguards

  • Guardian and custody authority verified before participation or disclosure.
  • Youth assent and developmentally appropriate explanation.
  • Two-deep adult leadership and observable, interruptible interactions.
  • No private electronic communication with minors.
  • Authorized arrival, pickup, release, and end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Background, exclusion, credential, mandated-reporting, and competency clearance.
  • Food, allergy, medication, injury, missing-youth, late-pickup, and emergency procedures.
  • Separate adult/youth space and schedule controls.
  • Transportation, driver, vehicle, insurance, and route approval before transport.

What happens when a young person is in crisis?

The site must have an explicit youth crisis pathway, including qualified clinical assessment, guardian involvement decisions, mandated reporting when indicated, 988/MRSS/EMS/hospital escalation, supervision of the remaining group, safe release, and next-day follow-up.

Families should not have to decode the partnership to find help.

One front door can route the need, but clinical consent, records, staff, claims, and quality authority remain clear.

VIRTUAL PROGRAM · SEPARATE READINESS

Family education online—without implying youth intensive care

The virtual campus includes a proposed Family Table and separately gated youth/family extensions. It does not offer virtual youth IOP or a five-hour online afterschool program through the initial adult pilot.
