Quality, Custody & Traceability

Good intentions do not replace a claim ticket.

Customer property, donated product, and resale inventory require separate source, custody, condition, location, work, quality, and disposition evidence.

The custody promise

Know the pair. Know the owner. Know the location. Know the decision.

Every accepted pair receives identifying photographs, a unique work-order or inventory identifier, a recorded location, a defined authorization, and a final reconciliation. Customer property should never be moved by memory alone.

Photograph

Capture identifying and condition images at intake and release.

Tag

Assign a unique work-order or inventory identifier.

Locate

Record movement between intake, quarantine, bench, drying, QA, storage, and handoff.

Reconcile

Match the item to authorization, work, payment, release, and recipient or approved disposition.

Quality-release questions

Scope

Was the accepted scope completed without unauthorized work?

Dryness and safety

Is the item fully dry and safe to package, list, return, award, recycle, or store?

Honest condition

Are defects, limitations, and incomplete results disclosed rather than edited away?

Identity

Does the pair match the identifier, photographs, work order, owner or source, and intended recipient?

Independent review

Did an authorized second person complete release review where required?

Closed custody

Is the final return or disposition documented and the inventory or work order closed?

Zero tolerance: untraceable customer property, counterfeit or disputed source, unpaid productive work, unsupported sanitation claims, hidden damage, or pressure to release unsafe product.
