How It Works

Every pair needs an owner, an ID, a location, a scope, and a release decision.

The complete lifecycle connects customer service, safety, inventory, paid work, craft, quality, disposition, and performance evidence.

The six operating checkpoints

IntakeBook the job or batch, identify the owner or lawful source, photograph the pair, document condition, and establish requested scope.
AssessConfirm material, exclusions, risks, estimated timing, price status, and authorization before work begins.
TraceAssign a unique identifier and maintain documented location and custody from receipt through return or disposition.
CareUse material-specific methods, approved products, required PPE, and competency-based task assignment.
Dry + QACompletely dry the item, complete independent quality review, and stop release when standards are not met.
HandoffComplete payment or agreement documentation, verify return or disposition, collect feedback, and reconcile the work order.

The completed handoff standard

A work order is complete only when the pair is reconciled to the correct customer or disposition, payment or agreement evidence is complete, the final condition is disclosed, feedback or complaint routes are available, and custody is closed.

Stop-work authority

Any trained staff member must be able to stop work when material, chemical, contamination, equipment, custody, counterfeit, injury, privacy, labor, or quality risk exceeds approved scope. Mission pressure cannot override safety.
