Privacy is a promise
Do not share another participant’s story, identity, screenshot, attendance, contact information, or recovery details outside the permitted setting.
A recovery community becomes safe through repeated behavior: privacy, respect, consent, honest repair, clear moderation, and quick routing when a concern exceeds the community’s scope.
Do not share another participant’s story, identity, screenshot, attendance, contact information, or recovery details outside the permitted setting.
Ask before giving feedback, contacting someone outside the group, adding them online, sharing resources, or involving another support.
No slurs, threats, harassment, ridicule, intimidation, public shaming, or weaponizing a person’s history.
Do not shame medication, mutual-aid choice, faith, treatment decisions, harm-reduction goals, or pathways different from your own.
No romantic/sexual pursuit in protected spaces, borrowing or lending money, soliciting, selling, gambling, exploiting vulnerability, or pressuring disclosure.
No arranging substances, trading controlled medication, glorifying use, sharing methods that increase harm, or encouraging someone to ignore qualified medical advice.
Urgent safety concerns are routed to staff, 988, 911, or the active safety pathway—not left for an unmonitored group chat to manage.
When harm occurs, stop the behavior, listen, accept boundaries, follow moderation direction, and complete an appropriate repair or re-entry process.
Emergency response is not a punishment. Safety and dignity require clear routing.
Call 911 for immediate danger. Call or text 988 for suicide or emotional crisis support in the United States. Follow provider or program emergency instructions when enrolled in an active service.
